Welcome to 3rd Grade Loves Reading!
This page is designed to keep our classroom on the same page! You will find current ELA lesson plans, helpful at home tips, and great online resources. I will begin by introducing myself and providing the purpose in greater detail for this wikispace. My name is Jordan Manning and I am a third grade teacher at Berlin McKinney Elementary School. This is my second year at this school, and I teach the best kiddos ever. I am studying at Concord University to become a Reading Specialist; therefore, I chose to design this wikispace to revolve around ELA instruction, plans, resources, and information.
This page was designed with the ARCS Model in mind--attention, relevance, confidence, and satisfaction. You can learn more about this model at this link: ARCS. I wanted to direct family and student attention to resources for good readers and reading habits. The links and resources you will find are relevant to what is going on with classroom plans and today's content standards. I want to build confidence in my readers to help them excel in all other subjects. Lastly, I want this space to provide satisfied families to be as involved in their child's learning as possible.
